The Academic Department is responsible for organizing a series of school-level academic activities, aiming at creating a strong academic atmosphere on campus and promoting the continuous improvement of the overall scientific research ability and academic quality of graduate students in Tsinghua.

One of the main activities is to hold the annual Tsinghua Postgraduate Academic Activities Festival together with the Science and Technology Branch of the Graduate Society.

Academic Festival is an important school-level academic activity, which has a wide influence on graduate students. It is held every spring semester (usually from March to June).

The first phase of this academic festival has just ended, and the second phase is being fully rolled out.

As the main body of the academic festival, the Academic Department, together with the Graduate Association for Science and Technology, is responsible for organizing and arranging various school-level activities, and at the same time, promoting all departments (colleges and institutes) to give full play to their subjective initiative and creativity, and holding a series of academic activities with professional characteristics according to the characteristics of their respective disciplines.

Through the activities, the majority of graduate students are encouraged to devote themselves to scientific research and academic activities with greater enthusiasm.

Since the opening of the Postgraduate Academic Festival at the end of March, a series of academic activities have been carried out around the theme of "building new academic talents, creating new academic styles, and serving the country with talents".

At the same time, in order to strengthen the communication and exchange between graduate students' academic work in various departments, and also as a bridge between relevant departments of the school and grassroots organizations, the academic work core group established the "Academic Work News of Graduate Students' Association".
