People's Public Security University of China, referred to as "University of Technology", is located in Beijing, China. It is an ordinary institution of higher learning directly under the Ministry of Public Security and a senior police officer college of the Ministry of Public Security. Founded in July 1948, it has gone through the periods of North China Public Security Cadre School, Central Public Security Cadre School, Central People's Public Security College and Central Political and Legal Cadre School. 1984 1 month, converted into a full-time ordinary undergraduate college. 1February 1998 merged with the former China People's Police Officers University to form a new Chinese People's Public Security University. The school is the first batch of "double first-class" world-class discipline construction universities and the first batch of "excellent legal talents education and training plan" pilot universities in China.
