Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, founded in 1956, formerly known as Beijing College of Chinese Medicine, is the earliest institution of higher learning of Chinese medicine approved by the State Council.

Capital Medical University, founded in 1956, formerly known as Beijing Second Medical College; 1985, renamed Capital Medical College; 1986, identified as a key institution in Beijing; 1994, renamed Capital Medical University; 2001Feb 12, College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing Medical College and Beijing Staff Medical College of Beijing Union University merged into the school.

Peking university health science center, formerly known as National Beijing Medical College, was founded in 19 12 10.26. It is the first national western medicine school run by the Ministry of Education of China Government on its own.

Peking Union Medical College was established in 19 17. It is the only national key medical university directly under the National Health and Wellness Commission of People's Republic of China (PRC), and it implements an integrated management system with China Academy of Medical Sciences. It is a national medical science academic center and comprehensive scientific research institution.

Beijing Health Vocational College, founded on 20 12, is a full-time ordinary institution of higher learning approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, filed by the Chinese People's Government and the Ministry of Education, and affiliated to the Beijing Municipal Health and Family Planning Commission.
