Guangdong University of Finance and Economics was founded on 1983 and renamed Guangdong University of Finance and Economics on 1985, and renamed Guangdong University of Finance and Economics on June 20 19. Approved by the Ministry of Education, Guangdong University of Finance and Economics was renamed as "Guangdong University of Finance and Economics". It is now jointly built by the Guangdong Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Justice. It is an institution of higher learning featuring law and business, one of the key universities in Guangdong Province, and one of the designated universities in the "1+2+ 1 China-US Talent Training Program" of the Ministry of Education.
It is an undergraduate college of finance and economics with economy, management and law as the main body, and the coordinated development of economy, management, law, literature, science, engineering and art. It is a provincial key university, the first financial university in South China, an important training base and scientific research base for economic, management and legal talents in Guangdong and South China, and the first institution of higher learning in Chinese mainland with business and law as its teaching characteristics.
As of May 20 18, the school has two campuses, Guangzhou and Foshan Sanshui, with a total area of 2,275 mu. The school has more than 200 full-time teachers 1200, including 2 16 full-time teachers, 408 associate senior teachers and 540 doctors.
Guangdong University of Finance and Economics has two campuses, Guangzhou and Foshan, with a total area of 2,275 mu. Guangzhou Campus is adjacent to Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, and Foshan Campus is located in Yundonghai Tourism Economic Zone, Sanshui District, Foshan City. The existing school building is about 7 1.97 million square meters.
