University of international business and economics is a multidisciplinary foreign language university of finance and economics, with six disciplines: economics, management, literature, law, science and engineering. It has been selected into the "20 1 1 Plan", the National Experimental Zone of Talent Training Mode Innovation, the National Entrepreneurship Education Base for College Students, and the Shanghai Excellent Legal Talents Education and Training Base.
Shanghai Excellent Journalism and Communication Talents Education and Training Base is the core unit of China Pilot Free Trade Zone Collaborative Innovation Center, the unit set up by the Global Trade Monitoring and Analysis Center of the General Administration of Customs (Shanghai), the institution for overseas students to receive scholarships from the China government, the "Platinum" educational institution certified by the British Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants, the founding member of the China-Central and Eastern European Countries University Association and the founding member and governing unit of the Global Alliance of Foreign Studies Universities. It is known as the "cradle of international business elites".
The school was founded in 1960, based on the Foreign Trade Department of Shanghai International Studies University (including 6 languages). It is called Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade, which is directly under the Ministry of Foreign Trade. 196265438+merged into Shanghai International Studies University in February; First resumption in June1964; 1972 merged into Shanghai International Studies University again; 65438+Second retest in May, 0980; 1July, 1994, the school was led by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government directly under the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Cooperation. The school is the only one of the first batch of 12 universities in China with a chair approved by the World Trade Organization (WTO), a partner of the World Trade Organization Regional Trade Policy Course (Asia-Pacific Training Center), a partner of the Center for International Trade and Sustainable Development, an arbitrator unit of the World Intellectual Property Organization, an important branch of the Trade Research and Training Network of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, and a core member of the Virtual Institute of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development.
