The Academy of Fine Arts of Jimei University is located in Jimei School Village, Xiamen Special Economic Zone, with beautiful scenery and a good reputation at home and abroad. Its predecessor was the Fine Arts Department of Jimei Normal University founded by Chen Jiageng, a famous patriotic overseas Chinese leader, in 1925. A large number of outstanding talents have been trained, including Shen, former president of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts, and Hu Yichuan, former president of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts.
