First, school profile:
Henan University of Science and Technology is located in Luoyang City, Henan Province. It is a university established by the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and the People's Government of Henan Province, supported by the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions, a national demonstration university for deepening the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education, a national continuing education base for professional and technical personnel, and a governing university of the Silk Road University Alliance.
The school was founded in Beijing in 1952 and moved to Luoyang in 1956 to meet the needs of the construction and layout of the national industrial base. Later, it was renamed Luoyang Institute of Technology, which was under the Ministry of Machinery Industry, and 1998 was placed under the management of Henan Province. In 2002, the Henan Provincial Party Committee and the provincial government approved the merger and formation of Henan University of Science and Technology to optimize the structural layout of higher education in the province.
As of June, 2022, the school has two campuses, Kaiyuan and Xiyuan, with a total area of 4 100 mu and a building area of 1.59 million square meters. There are 3 1 colleges, covering 1 1 disciplines and 98 undergraduate majors.

As of July 2020, as the first batch of universities recognized by the Ministry of Education with the qualification to accept foreign students, the school has carried out exchanges and cooperation in personnel training and scientific research with 95 high-level universities and research institutions in the United States, Britain, Russia, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea and other countries and regions, and recruited undergraduates, postgraduates and language advanced students.
In 20 17, the school cooperated with Russian Tomsk Polytechnic University to hold the undergraduate education project of automation, and in 20 18, the school cooperated with Idaho State University to hold the undergraduate education project of mechanical and electronic engineering. For full-time undergraduates who are studying abroad, the school has the national scholarship fund Committee's national public study abroad program, inter-school degree exchange program and inter-school exchange student program.
