Chifeng University, located in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, referred to as "Chi Yuan" for short, is a multi-disciplinary and comprehensive undergraduate institution of higher learning approved by the Ministry of Education, selected as the pilot of comprehensive reform in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and is the governing unit of China Entrepreneurship Education Alliance of UNESCO.

Chifeng College was established on April 6, 2003 with the approval of the Ministry of Education. It was formed by the merger of Chifeng Teachers College for Nationalities, Chifeng Education College and Chifeng Branch of Inner Mongolia Radio and TV University, and at the same time, it was merged into some resources of Chifeng Health School and Inner Mongolia Kindergarten Normal School. College was born in Chifeng City, the birthplace of the world-famous "Hongshan Culture".

Inner Mongolia Communications Vocational and Technical College, located in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is a public full-time ordinary institution of higher learning officially put on record by the Ministry of Education. Founded in 1975, it belongs to the Communications Department of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
