Shanghai University School of Management is in Baoshan District. At present, the School of Management covers two first-class disciplines: management science and engineering and business administration. According to the QS World University Discipline Ranking in 2020, Shanghai University ranks 1 1 in the field of business administration in Chinese mainland.

According to the national ranking of "soft disciplines" in 20 19, the discipline of "management science and engineering" in Shanghai University ranks first 13. College teachers actively carry out business research and contribute business knowledge. The college has business experiment centers, including intelligent logistics and supply chain management, Industry-University-Research base of China Logistics Society, Neuroentrepreneurship Laboratory of Shanghai University, and provincial and ministerial research centers of competitive ecology research center.

The School of Management consists of four departments: management science and engineering, business administration, accounting and information management. Full-time teachers 134, and 44 teachers were selected into the national outstanding youth and other provincial and ministerial talent programs.

Most teachers have more than one year's overseas visit or overseas postdoctoral experience, and 23% teachers have obtained overseas doctoral degrees. Some full-time teachers have served as deputy editors or editors-in-chief of internationally renowned journals such as FT50 and ABS4 (10 person-times). Three teams of the College were selected as strategic innovation teams and key innovation teams of local high-level universities in Shanghai.
