You can take CET-4 and CET-6.
Freshmen can apply for CET-4 and CET-6. As long as the candidates are undergraduate and junior college students in full-time colleges and adult colleges, registered graduate students can sign up for CET-4 and CET-6. CET-4 and CET-6 are national English tests administered by the Ministry of Education. Its purpose is to objectively and accurately measure the actual English ability of college students and provide evaluation services for college English teaching. There will be two CET-4 and CET-6 exams each year, corresponding to a Saturday and Sunday of the last and next semester, so as not to conflict with the candidates' university study courses.

If you have a good English foundation, I suggest you take the exam as soon as possible, because the foundation and knowledge brought by high school, as well as the rules and habits of study, will be of great help to prepare for the CET-4 and CET-6. Some schools will stipulate that students who have passed a certain score in CET-4 can be exempted from taking the college English test or can take the professional English test directly. If they pass CET-6, they can get high marks and be exempted from taking the exam. And in the long run, if there are students who are studying for graduate school, I would like to remind you that some graduate schools require six grades or even scores. CET-4 and CET-6 should be assessed in order, and only after CET-4 can you apply for CET-6. The main thing is that you can take more exams and improve your scores, so that you will have great advantages in both work and graduate school in the future. Therefore, passing the freshman exam early is not only an improvement of self-confidence in college study, but also the completion of small goals on the way to study.
