Alnwick Castle, located in the quiet town of Alnwick in the northeast of England, is the hereditary castle of Duke northumberland. It is the main location of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in Harry Potter, second only to Windsor Castle in London. In the movie, Harry Potter and the magic students at the same time took a boat to their favorite magic school-Hogwarts. The appearance of the school and some scenes come from Annick Castle. Even after more than 700 years of baptism, Annick Castle still exudes the flavor of classical luxury. Being in it, imagining the brilliant life experience of the castle owner and all the history that happened here, your thoughts will be taken to the distant past.
The second stop: London Zoo to learn Harry and python chat.
In Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter thought he was just an ordinary child. It was not until one day that he went to the London Zoo that he discovered that he could chat with the python and had the magic power to change its window and let it escape. You can go to the reptile exhibition hall of London Zoo, stand in the same position as Harry, and enjoy all kinds of lizards and snakes with strange patterns. However, don't be narcissistic, try to change the glass window!
In addition to the reptile exhibition hall, London Zoo also includes an aquarium, a wildlife park and as many as 650 different animals, such as penguins and camels. Although it opened as early as 1828, it still attracted many tourists to visit.
Address: Regent Park, NW 1.
Transportation: Get off at Camden Town by subway and walk for 20 minutes.
Third stop: Gloucester
Imagined Hogwarts Corridor in Gloucester Church
It takes two hours by train from London to reach Gloucester, an English town near Wales. This city is very small. It only takes a few hours to stroll around, and there are not many scenic spots. However, Gloucester Cathedral, which is used to photograph the corridor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, is considered as a tourist attraction.
Fourth stop: platform 9 3/4 of King's Cross Railway Station.
In the story, if you want to go to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, you must take the Hogwarts Express train at platform 9 3/4 between platform 9 of King's Cross Station and platform 10. Does the 9 3/4 platform really exist in real life?
For publicity, the film company hung a banner printed with "Hogwarts Express 9 3/4" on Platform 9 there, and drew a bigger picture at the entrance with the same words on it, as if it were Platform 9 3/4 in the story.
Fifth stop: Oxford University
Universities and libraries look at the magic school scene
The Christian College in Oxford University Town and the Oxford University Library in Oxford University Town are the main shooting scenes of Hogwarts. Christian College is the largest college in Oxford University. Although it is open to tourists, it must follow the designated route carefully and must not break in without authorization. The magnificent dining room of the college was used to photograph Hogwarts.
In the movie, the Potter library became the classroom of Harry Potter, and the small auditorium of the seminary outside the library was transformed into the infirmary of Hogwarts during the filming.
Transportation: Take the train from Gloucester or take the X90 bus from Victoria Bus Station in London.
Sixth stop: Annikburg
The appearance and some scenes of Hogwarts, the Harry Potter School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, were taken from Ainwlck Cast 1e in northern England. Ain comes from Celtic, which means "River of Light". Vic means the place where the Anglo-Saxons live, so Annick's full text should be "The River of Light where the Anglo-Saxons live".
Seventh stop: Eton College
Eton College, located in Buckinghamshire, England, next to Windsor Castle, was founded in 1440. This is an elite boys' school with an ancient aristocratic tradition. Since its establishment, it has formed an indissoluble bond with the British upper class, and even many members of the royal family have completed their secondary education here.
Eton College is famous not only because its graduates have a high reputation, but also because it is one of the few schools that still maintains the characteristics of ancient aristocrats. Campus buildings are ancient and magnificent, showing traces of historical vicissitudes. According to archaeological findings, witches did live near Eton in history, and traces of teeth gnawing on human leg bones excavated by archaeology undoubtedly added a strange color to Eton.
