Tsinghua University Direct Bo Program is a postgraduate-postgraduate-postgraduate program for senior students with excellent scientific research ability and academic potential. After completing undergraduate study, direct students can directly enter doctoral study and research and obtain doctoral degrees. Therefore, it is not common to change to a master's degree in the direct program, mainly because the direct students have been admitted as doctoral students, and changing to a master's degree halfway will involve a series of problems such as student status and curriculum arrangement.
Direct doctoral students need to transfer to master's degree. Generally, an application needs to be submitted to the school and approved by the college, tutor and relevant departments.
