Yanshan University Northeast Branch originated from Harbin Institute of Technology and was established in Fulaerji in May 2000 with the approval of Hebei Provincial Education Department and Heilongjiang Provincial Education Department. From 65438 to 0958, the state established the Institute of Heavy Machinery of Harbin Institute of Technology in Fulaerji, a major industrial town in China. 1960 independent school, named northeast heavy machinery college. 1978 has been designated as one of the 88 key universities in China. 1997 was moved to Qinhuangdao with the approval of the former State Education Commission and renamed Yanshan University.
