According to official website's inquiry of Lanzhou Jiaotong University, Lanzhou Jiaotong University was established by China Railway Corporation, State Railway Administration and Gansu Provincial People's Government, supported by Tianjin University, Beijing Jiaotong University and Southwest Jiaotong University, and was selected into the Education and Training Plan for Outstanding Engineers, the Demonstration School for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform and the Education Revitalization Plan for the Midwest of the Ministry of Education. The main awards are: National Model University for Deepening Innovation and Entrepreneurship Education Reform (20 17), National College with Typical Experience in Graduate Employment (20 12) and National Defense Education Characteristic School (2018); 70 provincial and ministerial level and above scientific and technological achievement awards. As of February, 2024, the school has three national scientific research platforms, including the National Research Center of Green Painting Technology and Equipment Engineering Technology, the Key Laboratory of BIM and Intelligent Application of Si-Dian Railway, the Key Laboratory of Intelligent Management and Control of Plateau Railway Transportation and Railway Industry, the Key Laboratory of Yellow River Water Environment in Gansu Province, and the Institute of Microelectronics Industry in Gansu Province, with 72 scientific research platforms at or above the provincial level.
