The University of Bath guarantees that undergraduates will live in dormitories in the first year. For single graduate students from countries outside the EU, universities also guarantee their first-year accommodation places, but usually they are off-campus dormitories. There are more than 1700 dormitories in the campus, most of which are low-rise townhouses arranged along the north boundary of the campus. Our school also has several dormitories in the center of Bath, which can accommodate 1000 students. There are restaurants, bars, shops and banks on campus.
The sports training village has 25m and 50m (Olympic standard) swimming pools, outdoor track and field, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, artificial and lawn courts (football, rugby, cricket, tennis and American football), a gymnasium with advanced equipment and a rifle shooting range. Bath sent 28 athletes to the Sydney Olympic Games. At present, the school is spending 20 million pounds to further improve sports facilities.
