I need to explain first. I am a candidate of Class 202 1, and I applied for the philosophy major of Ningxia University, with a preliminary test score of 400+. In mid-April this year, the dust settled except for the proposed admission list. This experience post may not be universally applicable, because everyone's ability and level, situation and circumstances, goals and tasks are different, so the following contents are for reference only, so don't copy them all (experience can't be copied).
Because of my professional problems, I decided to go to graduate school from the beginning of college, so there is no question of "whether to go to graduate school". It's hard to have a good way out without graduate school! I am determined to take the academic road, so it is necessary for me to go to graduate school. I have never thought of other possibilities, and my determination here lies there. Moreover, if possible, I would advise a person to go to an institution of higher learning at least during his undergraduate or graduate studies to feel the current domestic educational environment. The ruthless employment environment reflects the leisure and simplicity of the university campus. Reading is at least clean and simple.
Because I am a candidate of this major, I don't understand the problem of "cross-professional examination and research" After all, I can't provide practical advice without empathy. As far as I know, there are many cross-examiners majoring in philosophy, who either entered the philosophy course to study the history of philosophy during their undergraduate years, or want to cross-examine philosophy and improve their academic qualifications after work, but most of the cross-examiners around me are interested.
However, I still want to throw cold water on it. It is difficult to cross majors. First, the knowledge of philosophy history needs to reach the level of ordinary philosophy undergraduates. Second, we need to know what the score of the postgraduate entrance examination is now and how to get a better score. As far as the National People's Congress is concerned, it requires candidates to be familiar with the philosophy of the original work on the basis of having a sufficient understanding of the classic questions, because in previous years' examination questions, a statement of a certain paragraph or chapter in the original work often appears, requiring candidates to answer a certain question from a certain angle. That's the difficulty.
Usually, I don't encourage students who take philosophy exams, because the current job market is very bleak, the doctoral job market is over-saturated, and most philosophy graduates are facing unemployment, so we should consider it carefully. However, if you are really interested and determined to do it, I will wish you success.
Regarding the choice of school, we can refer to some data, such as whether it is a self-marking institution, its retest score, its enrollment and enrollment ratio, and we need to know its examination questions and review scope. It is very difficult to review China's philosophy, western philosophy and philosophy because many colleges and universities are now enrolling students in large categories. Moreover, foreign philosophy majors in some schools will also involve the content of modern philosophy, while others are just before Hegel, with different scope and review difficulty. We can choose our own school according to the above information.
Second, the timing.
For the postgraduate entrance examination, I think if you review well, one year will be enough. There are so many knowledge about the history of philosophy, only a few classic questions. As long as you follow the review well, there won't be much difference between politics and English. It's April. Even if you concentrate on it from now on, as long as you work hard enough, the possibility of taking the postgraduate entrance examination is still great.
I have been doing well in my undergraduate course. During my undergraduate course, I read some original philosophical works and made a lot of review notes for professional courses, which made my review much less difficult. I officially started reviewing in February. At that time, I had to prepare for both the postgraduate entrance examination and the postgraduate entrance examination. On the one hand, I have to prepare for the summer camp, on the other hand, I am also preparing the coping strategies if I fail in the postgraduate entrance examination. So I roughly divided the time into three sections, defined the tasks of each section, and defined the tasks that need to be completed in each stage.
My plan is divided into quarterly plan, monthly plan and weekly plan:
seasonal plan
monthly plan
Weekly plan
Because the previous review gave me a full understanding of the history of philosophy, and then my notes were more comprehensive, so at this time I turned the complicated weekly plan into a simple daily plan and set myself the goal of taking the postgraduate entrance examination: the scores in all subjects.
Daily plan
In my opinion, in order to get good grades, the total score of public courses must be 150, which is the entrance threshold; You must get at least 125+ in each of the two professional courses, which is professional ability. So I spent a long time preparing for the review of later specialized courses.
Third, the first experience
Political articles:
In my opinion, politics is one of the most cost-effective subjects in the postgraduate entrance examination, and it can achieve good results in a short time, so it is necessary to have correct learning methods. My undergraduate major is ideological and political education, but it is useless. Still unsure, I bought Xiao Xiurong's Exquisite and 1000 Questions before the summer vacation.
(1) July-August: During the summer vacation, set aside 1-2 hours every day to brush a political video, and brush a video to make a topic (I wrote all the answers on paper for the first time, thinking that I might brush it again later). Next, let's talk about video. I was very confused in the early stage, and everyone saw it. I watched Xiao Xiurong's supporting video (Mr. Diao Zhiping) in the early stage, and later I found Xu Tao. I found that teacher Xu Tao spoke very well, especially Shi Gang, who had never studied history in high school. He made it very clear and strongly recommended Xu Tao's video class at this stage.
(2) September-65438+1October: At this stage, the second round of review begins, mainly to consolidate the knowledge points and do the 1000 question again (this can be written in the book and marked in red). During the period, I also watched videos of key chapters. At this time, I actually forgot about the summer vacation, because politics is a very detailed knowledge point and needs to be repeated. At this stage, it's a bit like meeting and hating each other. Sister Leg is a teacher with three views and super righteousness. She has nothing to say when giving lectures, so she immediately turns to powder. She focuses on skills while consolidating her knowledge, which is very effective! (For example, a formal exam, a * * *, choose a few candidates, which is very subject-oriented. )
(3) 165438+ 10-65438+February: sprint stage. Mainly to do the problem! I made four sets of tests, eight sets of tests, four sets of tests, eight sets of tests and five sets of tests. After my investigation, Leg 4, Xiao 4 and small 8 are all excellent, and there are even real questions (multiple choice questions). Leg 4 should have three original questions, which I admire.
Any time is fine. During this time, I will start to do a set of multiple-choice questions at eight o'clock every day, because this is also the time for the official exam. I only recited the subjective questions by Grade 4, and listened to Sister Leg's punching class (mainly about subjective questions). Finally, I got the right answer (44 points for multiple-choice questions and 37 points for subjective questions, which I am satisfied with), but to tell the truth, Xu Tao played more yellow books, but I didn't read them, just borrowed them from my classmates. His shortcoming is that there are too many questions, if time is tight.
In short, politics is not difficult. Don't be superstitious about templates. You should follow the teacher's progress in a down-to-earth manner, so that the knowledge points will be more reliable. When you arrive at the examination room, you will feel like a god. I didn't recite the subjective questions at all in the later stage (I only read the first two sets of Grade 4), mainly relying on my usual accumulation, but I still have to recite some cliches in the skill class (such as what to answer in modern times).
English articles:
English takes up the most time for me, but I feel that English can also be skillful, whether it is reading, writing or translating.
First of all, words are the basis of English, so you can take classes with teachers. This may not be so boring, but it should be more efficient than your own back. At that time, I watched Vivian's word class only once and took notes on the handout. I think it is still useful.
Secondly, teacher Vivian's long and difficult sentences are helpful to break down the sentence structure. I feel benefited a lot. I feel good after reading the three customs methods taught by teacher Wang Zhuo in class. These two methods should be enough to solve long and difficult sentences. The difficulty of English postgraduate entrance examination is nothing more than long sentences, sentence analysis and some reading skills.
The third part is the reading part. I listened to teacher Wang Zhuo, a test bug, read aloud in the early stage. It is characterized by being very meticulous. I will read almost one article in two hours in a class, so I can read it in the early stage. I began to watch Tang Chi's reading class in the summer vacation, which is very skillful and strategic. Starting from the logic of the full text (for example, focusing on the key points, focusing on the test sites), Tang Chi's reading class is strongly recommended here (both the skill class and the real topic class over the years can be used, and the content is similar).
Then, it is the writing part. I may get a higher score in English this year, because I think my translation is not very good, about 5 points. My composition should get 25 points. I estimate that my big composition 18 points, small composition 7-8 points. Next, I started Amway. He is Mr. Shi Leipeng, an extremely coquettish writing teacher. He's not talking about a template, but it's very easy to use. He just teaches you basic sentences, and then he starts to change his shape super. You can use whatever you want. Anyway, I don't think I have recited English composition, but in the examination room, the sentences seem to flow out, and the writing is very cool. Large and small composition sentences are universal. Moreover, due to the time limit, I almost didn't finish the evening class of the test worm, but listened to the writing class, because this teacher is too decompression, and can give you unlimited fun under the pressure of postgraduate entrance examination!
Finally, cloze and new questions. This can be seen in Tang Chi's new problem class, with a little skill. However, I think the new question type belongs to the kind of concrete analysis of specific problems. Don't be superstitious about routines, or you are likely to suffer. You also need your usual reading ideas and word accumulation, which is logical. It is a very comprehensive question type. My new test questions before the exam are a state of giving up (because the new English test questions of 17 and 18 have hit me too hard, so I can only resign myself to fate.
As for the translation part, it is not very skillful. If you know Chinese characters, it's basically no problem, but the translated words are generally difficult and don't look like human characters, so I'm not prepared.
In short, it is not difficult to get high marks in English test. As long as you master four readings and new questions, there is basically no problem with 70+, so you need to read well. What does it mean to do a good job? Let me explain, I have done the real question (06- 19) less than twice.
The first time (July-August): (1) Read an article every day and do it once (18 minutes or so). (2) Don't do it again (about 20 minutes). During this time, I will look up words and straighten out the logic of the article. (3) Watch Tang Chi's video explanation. (4) Translate articles and options on the computer, because my handwriting is slow. During the period, I understood why the option is right and why it is wrong. This time it will take about three hours. You can do it separately or in one go, depending on your efficiency. By the end of the summer vacation, I still have several sets of real problems to do, leaving them for the final simulation. (About 15, 16, 17, 18, 19.
The second time (September-65438+1October): Do the real questions you did in the summer vacation again and continue to read the article intensively, because you will find that even if you did it in the summer vacation, you will make mistakes in the second time, which proves that you have not mastered this knowledge point and need to consolidate your review again. At this stage, I shortened my English time, almost one day 1 hour, and almost finished reciting professional courses on the first day of summer vacation, (liberal arts students understand ~)
Sprint stage (165438+ 10-65438+February): I want to do a set of remaining real questions every week, which are fully simulated (including composition and translation, which need to be written on the answer sheet, including the time of marking cards, and the examination time is also in the afternoon). If you don't have the whole afternoon, you can do it separately, but it takes time. I will do a simulation on Monday or Sunday, and use the next week to summarize the wrong questions, methods and find my weaknesses. Right, so I will do a series of questions in a week. In this way, the exam came slowly. When I sat in the examination room, I didn't feel like I was taking an exam at all, just like I usually practiced. At present, English is allocated 1 hour every day.
Professional courses
First of all, I would like to introduce the specialized courses I have taken. Take two exams: subject one, basic philosophy theory (modern western philosophy, Marxist philosophy); Subject 2, History of Philosophy (Western Philosophy, China Philosophy). Therefore, the pressure of reviewing four or five specialized courses (one of which is the general theory of philosophy) is quite great, but the review of specialized courses is not boring and has skills. As long as the method is right, it will be no problem.
The review of professional courses is divided into three stages: (only my personal preparation process, but also combined with my actual situation)
The first stage (February-April): buying reference books recommended by colleges and universities. First, lay a solid professional foundation. At this stage, I am a western philosopher and a China philosopher reviewing together. For western philosophers, I watched The History of Western Philosophy by Deng Xiaomang and Zhao Lin, and found videos of Zhao Lin and Deng Xiaomang on the Internet. I heard it clearly, clearly. I recommend reading it, which is easier to understand.
Zhongzhe: I directly read Guo Qiyong's textbooks, the first volume and the second volume. When I looked at it, I drew the key points. I think the history of China's philosophy, as a figure in China, may look easier than the west.
The second stage (May-June): I began to look at modern western philosophy, summarized the notes of China philosophers and western philosophers, and combed the framework notes of modern western philosophy. This period of time is to write and take notes every day. The notes are arranged according to the characters. I combine the auxiliary materials of Xizhe 1000, Zhongzhe 1000 and the notes of senior students, and supplement them while sorting out. Of course, this is not enough, and it must be improved by combining with the paper, because the paper itself is a complete system, which is of great reference significance (for example, when sorting out Kant's epistemology, I read many versions of the paper and finally sorted out my own notes)
The third stage (July-August): during the summer vacation, I took notes on the computer and arranged the outlines of various subjects according to my notes to deepen my impression. And because the original question is likely to appear this year, I have arranged a set of real questions according to the year and characters to facilitate the final recitation.
The fourth stage (September-65438+1October): I will recite the electronic version for the first time after printing it out. The electronic version has more contents and is suitable for comprehensive understanding. At that time, I recited a word of a subject every day, and the process was very difficult. The feeling at that time was the same as reciting textbooks. I can't remember how much over and over again, but it must be rewarding. At least the characters have a frame in their hearts and are much clearer.
Stage 5 (10-1February): At this stage, I put my handwritten notes together for easy reading. I suggest that the notes should be framed as much as possible, which is particularly efficient and may be much more convenient than memorizing a lump of words directly. It is suitable for all subjects to learn to recite. I have recited this process for more than ten times, and I also recited it the night before the exam. This process is to forget it, forget it. Anyway, it is right to repeat it over and over again. As long as you persist, you will certainly get something.
Fourth, the second interview
First, the most important thing is to prepare one or two original works. If you haven't accumulated it before, you can now pick one or two original works that are short and suitable for getting started. Like Plato's Fido
Can drink,
Descartes' meditation on the first philosophy.
Take advantage of the remaining month, concentrate on the storm, read it a few times and finish eating this book or two. This is your battle base and your academic website!
Secondly, the knowledge points prepared during the initial test must be repeated. Don't worry about some details, just focus on reviewing, because the second interview will also ask some knowledge points about the history of philosophy.
Furthermore, you need to prepare a self-introduction for the English interview, and then you can go to Stanford Philosophy Encyclopedia to find some English materials to practice translation. I practiced translation in the library almost every morning in my senior year, and translated all the entries of the most important philosophers Plato, Aristotle, Descartes, Kant and Hegel into Chinese, accumulating an estimated100000 words.
Finally, some schools may ask you to write a research plan. I found that some seniors and sisters were very nervous when talking about this when sharing their experiences, saying that they must write very strictly and standardly. But in my experience, this is unnecessary.
Verb (abbreviation of verb) abstract
Postgraduate entrance examination is the most fulfilling time in your life. As long as you work hard to accumulate, you will stick to the end. Starlight won't buy passers-by. Every effort you make will eventually become a score on the test paper to reward the hard work along the way!
Come on! Although the road is long, the journey will come.
