There are five universities in Weihai, namely Shandong University Weihai Campus, Harbin Institute of Technology Weihai Campus, Shandong Jiaotong University Weihai Campus, Harbin Institute of Technology Rongcheng Campus and Beijing Jiaotong University Weihai Campus.
Weihai is a municipality under the jurisdiction of Shandong Province, located in the east of China and at the eastern end of Shandong Peninsula. It is bordered by the Yellow Sea in the north, east and south, Liaodong Peninsula in the north, Korea Peninsula across the sea in the east and Yantai in Shandong in the west.
