Diplomatic major is a new major set up by our university under the new situation that the demand for high-quality talents with foreign exchange ability is increasing due to the five strategic overlapping opportunities of Tianjin's "Belt and Road" construction, the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the construction of free trade pilot zone, the accelerated development and opening up of Binhai New Area and the construction of national independent innovation demonstration zone.

The purpose of this major is to cultivate students with high Marxist theoretical accomplishment and patriotism, outstanding foreign language ability, and systematic and comprehensive grasp of the basic knowledge and theory of diplomacy and related disciplines.
