School of Mechanical and Power Engineering of East China University of Science and Technology consists of department of mechanical engineering, Department of Power Engineering and Process Machinery, and Department of Materials and Equipment Engineering. There are five undergraduate majors: mechanical design, manufacturing and automation, process equipment and control engineering, metal material engineering (advanced material protection technology) and safety engineering (safety detection technology), among which process equipment and control engineering is a national professional construction site.

Department of mechanical engineering has seven assembly rooms, including engineering drawing and CAD technology, mechanical design and tribology, mechanical design and surface science, mechanical manufacturing and automation, virtual prototype and system simulation, sensor measurement and control, and vehicle engineering. The Department of Power Engineering and Process Machinery has 9 assembly rooms, including fluid machinery and engineering, energy conversion technology, safety guarantee technology, safety detection and monitoring technology, and pressure equipment design.
