Tianjin Vocational College covers an area of 680 mu. At present, the school runs in the pattern of "one school and two districts", which is divided into the main campus and Haiheyuan campus, with 1 1 college and three teaching departments. Jointly set up seven undergraduate majors with Tianjin University of Science and Technology, Tianjin University of Commerce, Tianjin Vocational and Technical Normal University and Tianjin University of Technology to cultivate applied and high-end skilled talents. At present, there are 1.7 million students, including more than/.6 million junior college students and more than 900 applied undergraduate students.

The school has set up a technical training school to serve the construction of Jincheng and Bincheng "Twin Cities". It has four R&D platforms, such as high-level additive manufacturing technology application center and Tianjin packaging production line technology engineering center. During the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" period, 95 vertical scientific research projects were established at or above the provincial and ministerial level, and 203 horizontal projects were undertaken. The total R&D expenditure for introducing various technologies is 60.49 million yuan, and there are 1 165 patents (including 74 invention patents).

The school took the lead in establishing Jinxiong Vocational Education Development Alliance and Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Gao Shuang Construction Alliance. Xiong'an new area Training Base and Xiongxian Training Center of Tianjin Vocational College will be built, and a five-year plan for the high-quality development of vocational education in xiong'an new area will be formulated.

The system aided Hetian Vocational and Technical College and formulated the construction plan of vocational education park in Hotan area. To undertake the fixed-point assistance of the Ministry of Education for vocational education in Honghe Prefecture in western Yunnan and Weixian County in Hebei Province, and establish "Weixian Branch of Tianjin Vocational College"; Pairing Wuwei Vocational College to build "Tianjin Vocational College (West) Vocational Education Teacher Training Base".
