Beijing Jiaotong University is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). The school is one of the three sources of Jiaotong University, and its historical origin can be traced back to 1896. Its predecessor was the Beijing Railway Management Institute founded by the Qing government.
