Henan University is located in Henan Province, China. It is a university jointly established by the Henan Provincial People's Government, the people of China and the Ministry of Education. It is a national "double-class" university, and has been selected into the national "11plan", the basic capacity building project of universities in the central and western regions, and excellent doctoral education.

19 12 years, Lin and other Henan educators founded Henan Preparatory School for Studying in Europe and America on the site of Kaifeng in Qing Dynasty. 1923, General Feng Yuxiang expanded it into Zhongzhou University. 1927 was transformed into the fifth national sun yat-sen university; 1930, first named Henan University.
1942, with the support of Mr. Yu Youren and others, changed to National Henan University; With the support of Deng Xiaoping and Chen Yi, Chung Yuan Christian University was founded. 1952 was renamed Henan Normal University, and later passed through Kaifeng Normal University and Henan Normal University. 1984, restore the name of Henan University. In 2022, the registered place of Henan University was changed from Kaifeng to Zhengzhou.
As of September, 2022, the school has Zhengzhou Longzihu Campus, Kaifeng Minglun Campus and Jin Ming Campus, with a total area of more than 5,500 mu (Zhengzhou Campus covers an area of 2,042 mu), and the total collection of literature and information resources is nearly 6,543,800 volumes; There are 36 colleges (teaching and research sections) and 99 undergraduate majors.
