The middle school affiliated to East China University of Political Science and Law (formerly known as Shanghai Panyu Middle School) was founded in 1954. In 2009, the school was rated as an experimental demonstration high school in Changning District.

In August of 20001year, the school completed the overall transformation, with beautiful school buildings, modern educational facilities and elegant and civilized campus culture. It is a complete middle school in Changning. From June 5438 to February 2009, Shanghai Panyu Middle School signed an agreement with East China University of Political Science and Law, and Shanghai Panyu Middle School was officially renamed as the affiliated middle school of East China University of Political Science and Law.

At the beginning of the new century, the school completed the overall transformation of the campus. At present, there are two computer classrooms, two multimedia classrooms, an electronic reading room and an electronic lesson preparation room, which have created superior conditions for the smooth development of teachers and students.
