1, Introduction to Animal Science Specialty

Undergraduate course, 4 years' schooling.

Animal genetics, breeding and reproduction is a national key discipline. Postdoctoral mobile stations 1 unit, doctoral programs 1 unit, 4 master programs, 7 doctoral supervisors and 27 master supervisors.

This major mainly trains senior animal science and technology talents engaged in animal production and management, processing and comprehensive utilization of animal products, animal feed production management, marketing and so on. Mainly study animal physiology, animal biochemistry, animal genetics and breeding, animal reproduction, animal production, nutrition and feed, animal disease prevention and control and other courses. 2. Introduction of Animal Medicine Specialty

This major is the key construction major in Guangxi, and animal prevention and veterinary medicine is the key construction discipline in the whole region. There are 1 doctoral program and 4 master programs. There are 5 doctoral supervisors and 25 master supervisors.

This major mainly trains senior animal medical technicians engaged in animal disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment, animal food hygiene inspection and prevention and treatment of zoonosis. Mainly study animal anatomy and histology and embryology, animal physiology and biochemistry, pathology, pharmacology, microbiology, diagnostics, epidemiology, parasitology, animal food hygiene, veterinary clinic and other courses. Graduates have mastered the basic theoretical knowledge, methods and techniques of animal disease diagnosis and prevention, food hygiene inspection, animal medicine and so on. Suitable for all levels of animal disease prevention and control departments, foreign trade, customs veterinary quarantine system, animal pharmaceutical factories, zoos, scientific research and universities and other departments.
