If students complete the requirements of internship courses and obtain excellent or excellent translation and/or interpretation courses, they can obtain NAATI certification and become professional translators and/or interpreters. NAATI certification is based on excellent or excellent evaluation results related to subjects TRAN822 (translation practice) and TRAN820 (interpretation practice).
Master of environment
Since 2005, Macquarie University has been offering new scholarships to outstanding China students who apply for postgraduate courses in the Graduate School of Environment. The scholarship is a half-prize, called? Macquarie University International Scholarship for Environmental Studies? . Winning students can be exempted from half of the course tuition (one and a half years). The master's degree in environmental planning is certified by the Australian Planning Institute (PIA). Professor Peter Nelson, Dean of the Graduate School of Environment, believes that certification shows the qualification of the Graduate School of Environment in cultivating professional environmental talents, and also means that graduates can engage in the planning of the environmental industry. This certification allows graduates of the Graduate School of Environment to become members of the Australian Planning Institute, and they can look for employment opportunities in public and private fields that require professional PIA certificates. Students can take courses such as environmental law and policy, eco-tourism, economics of environment and natural resources, and environmental management of enterprises.
