Beijing Foreign Studies University (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Foreign Studies University), affiliated to the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC), ranks among the first batch of "2 1 1 projects" in China, and is selected as one of the six "projects" of the Ministry of Finance. As a member of the International Federation of University Translation Colleges, it has a graduate school. It is a national key university in China with a long history, the largest number of languages taught and a complete school level. It is known as the "cradle of diplomats in China". [1] Beijing Foreign Studies University was formerly known as the Russian Brigade of the Third Branch of China People's Anti-Japanese Military and Political University. 194 1 was founded in Yan 'an, and later developed into Yan 'an Foreign Languages School. 1954 was renamed Beijing Foreign Studies University. From 65438 to 0959, it merged with Beijing Russian Institute to form a new Beijing Foreign Studies Institute. 1980 directly under the leadership of the Ministry of Education. 1994, officially renamed Beijing Foreign Studies University.
Basic introduction
This school was founded under the leadership of The Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CCCPC). After the founding of New China, the school was led by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 1954 was renamed Beijing foreign studies institute, 1959 merged with Beijing Russian institute to form a new Beijing foreign studies institute. 1980 was directly under the Ministry of Education, and 1994 was officially renamed as Beijing Foreign Studies University. During the development of the school for more than half a century, the party and state leaders such as Zhu De, Chen Yi, Ye Jianying, Yang, Liao Chengzhi, etc. Everyone is very concerned about the development of the school and gives specific guidance. Before 1980, the school was under the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After 1980, the Ministry of Education will take the lead and implement the principal responsibility system under the leadership of the Party Committee.
Since its establishment, the school has closely combined with the development needs of the country, and formed the school philosophy of "being foreign, special and refined" and the school motto of "being inclusive, learning extensively and remembering strongly", which has become an important base for cultivating foreign-related high-quality talents such as diplomacy, translation, economy and trade, journalism and finance, and has trained more than 90,000 high-quality foreign-related talents for the country.
