What level should college English test take?
College English majors are divided into four levels and eight levels, and non-English majors are divided into four levels and six levels.

CET-1 * * * 5.

Level division:

PETS- 1: the first level is the primary level, and its examination requirements are slightly higher than the English level of junior high school graduates (PETS- 1B is the subsidiary level of the national English level examination).

Pets-2: The second level is the lower level, which is equivalent to the English level of outstanding graduates of ordinary high schools (the qualified written test scores of this level can replace the English test scores of the self-taught college (I) and the diploma exam).

Pets-3: Level 3 is an intermediate level, which is equivalent to the level of China students who have studied English in colleges and universities for two years after graduating from high school or have taught themselves English courses of the same level. (The qualified written test scores at this level can replace the English (II) test scores at the undergraduate stage of the self-study exam. )

Pets-4: CET-4 is the upper-middle level, which is equivalent to the level of China students who have studied English for at least 3-4 years at university or have taught themselves English courses of the same level after graduating from high school.

Pets-5: Band 5 is the highest level, which is equivalent to the level of college English majors in China at the end of the second year. It is an English proficiency test specially designed for those who apply for public study abroad.
