This major trains applied and compound archives senior professionals with systematic basic knowledge of management, archival science and basic skills of modern information technology, who can engage in information service, information management, secretarial work and information processing and research of office automation system in state organs, enterprises and institutions, financial institutions and information departments.

This major has enrolled undergraduates since 198 1, with a professional history of more than 20 years. It is one of the earliest archives majors in China universities. In the past three years, the one-time employment rate of graduates has reached more than 85%, ranking among the best in similar majors in colleges and universities across the country.

Main courses: database system principle, management information system, network foundation, application software, computerization of file management, introduction to archival science, archives management, administrative management, philology, research on file movement law, etc.

At present, this major has two major directions: computer and financial file management and e-government. Computer and financial archives management direction: this major adapts to the needs of the development of the financial industry, and trains senior professionals who can handle information and manage documents and archives in the network environment in financial institutions such as banks, securities, insurance and futures.

Main courses: introduction to finance, securities investment and analysis, insurance management, futures market, banking business and management, international trade, Qianlong system, introduction to electronic documents, financial file management, etc. Direction of e-government: this major adapts to the needs of government informatization and e-government development, and trains senior professionals who can manage and maintain electronic documents and information under the network environment in party and government organs, enterprises and institutions. The employment destination is mainly the offices, information centers, network management centers and archives (rooms) of party and government organs and enterprises and institutions.
