The Music Department of Art College of Yunnan Normal University 1998 began to recruit students, with 2 undergraduates10 and 4 postgraduates. After years of teaching staff construction, we have established a strong teaching staff and teaching management team, including full-time teachers 1 person and 5 associate professors, and introduced outstanding graduate students such as Wang Wenjun, Su Bingye, Shi Qing and Yang Chen. In teaching and scientific research, a group of experts and scholars with outstanding contributions have emerged. In recent years, the fifth edition has published more than 100 academic papers and music works. Teachers have held many solo concerts in Kunming Concert Hall, Art Theatre, schools and colleges. Professor Guo Yafei, Han Ping, Wang Wenjun and Yuanshan Liu, associate professor Gan Ning; Zhang Yanping, Luo Guoling, Shen Jing, Fan, Chen, He Liu, Wang Jing, Rui Liu, Zhang Lei, Li Mengxuan, Liu Jinjun, Wu Jinmei, Ma Jiayang, etc. , respectively, in China Folk Song Competition, China Folk Singer TV Competition, Yunnan Young Singer Competition, Yunnan Nie Er Cup. Chen Weirong, a young teacher, won the first prize of "Young Teacher Speech Competition" in Yunnan Normal University in 2006.
The teaching hardware and equipment of the Music Department are relatively complete and advanced. It has a fully functional "concert hall", "digital music studio" and "piano room", as well as more than 50 pianos, more than 30 accordions and other musical instruments. It provides good conditions for students' majors. The piano room is managed by full-time teachers and has a perfect management system. The college has teaching and research sections for theory, keyboard, vocal music and instrumental music. In terms of teaching objectives, efforts should be made to cultivate compound, export-oriented and applied music talents with solid basic knowledge, outstanding professional skills, comprehensive quality and strong social adaptability. In terms of teaching management and teaching form, we have adopted the organic combination of group lessons and individual lessons, and the organic combination of in-class and out-of-class lessons, advocated teaching reform, paid attention to cultivating students' practical ability, and established a university "forest choir" to actively carry out rehearsal, observation and performance activities.
