The school is a full-time and high-level application-oriented university at the undergraduate level built by the whole city during the "14 th Five-Year Plan" period in Fuzhou.
Donghua Institute of Technology was founded by the former Ministry of Nuclear Industry of China in 1956. 1999 after the reform of the management system of the national military academy, it was established by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, China National Nuclear Corporation and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government.
