Brief introduction of Ningbo Second Hospital
Ningbo No.2 Hospital was founded in 1843 by American Christian Baptist missionary D.J.Macgowan. It has a history of 170 years and is one of the earliest western medicine hospitals established in China. The hospital is located in Ningbo, the economic center of the southern wing of the Yangtze River Delta, on the bank of Yaojiang River, one of the three cultural corridors, adjacent to the moat Beidou River, with an elegant and quiet environment. It is a modern three-level first-class general hospital with important influence in eastern Zhejiang, which integrates medical treatment, teaching and scientific research. The hospital is now the affiliated hospital of Ningbo University Medical College, the teaching hospital of Zhejiang University Medical College, Wenzhou Medical College and other medical colleges. It is the first batch of national standardized training bases for residents and the network hospital of Asia International Emergency Rescue Center (AEA).
