Jiangxi Agricultural University traces its roots to the Agricultural College of National Chung Cheng University, which was founded in June 1940, and was renamed as the Agricultural College of Nanchang University in June/949. Jiangxi Agricultural College was established in June 1952. 1958, Jiangxi University of Productive Labor was established. 1969 Jiangxi Agricultural College merged with Jiangxi University of Production and Labor. 1980165438+10 was renamed Jiangxi Agricultural University in October.
Jiangxi Agricultural University now has 65,438+colleges, including Agricultural College, Garden Art College, Animal Science College, Engineering College, Science College, Land Resources and Environment College, Computer and Information Engineering College, Economic and Trade College, Humanities and Public Administration College, Food Science and Engineering College, Vocational Teachers (Technology) College, Nanchang Business School, Software College, Adult Education College, Biological Science and Engineering College, and Foreign Languages College. It has a national key laboratory training base, a key laboratory of the Ministry of Agriculture, three provincial key laboratories, and a national vocational education teacher training base focused on by the Ministry of Education. In recent years, the school has stepped up discipline construction, with 4 provincial and ministerial key disciplines 14 and 54 undergraduate majors, including 9 Jiangxi brand majors 19. At present, there are 8 master's degree first-level discipline authorization points, 52 master's degree authorization points in two disciplines, 4 in-service master's degree authorization points and 5 doctoral degree authorization points. The school has more than 20,000 full-time students of all kinds.
