Gannan Normal University is two schools. Gannan Teachers College is located in Ganzhou, a national historical and cultural city, a sub-central city of Jiangxi Province, enjoying the reputation of "Song Cheng in the south of the Yangtze River", "Cradle of Hakka" and "Red Old Capital". The school was founded in June 1958, when it was Gannan Normal University; 1984 was renamed Gannan Normal University and upgraded to a provincial undergraduate normal university.
