Longdong College is two universities. Longdong College, located in Qingyang City, Gansu Province, is a full-time undergraduate college jointly established by Gansu Provincial People's Government and Qingyang City, and a cooperative college between Lanzhou University and East China Normal University.

College was founded in 1979, formerly known as Qingyang Normal School. After continuous development, it was upgraded to an undergraduate college in 20001and renamed as its current name. Gansu Longdong University aims to cultivate high-quality talents with all-round development in morality, intelligence and physique. The college covers an area of about 1900 mu, with good educational facilities and beautiful learning environment. There are 14 secondary colleges and 53 undergraduate majors, covering arts, science, engineering, management, teaching, arts and other disciplines.
