China Geo University is a book. China Geo University, or Dada for short, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a key university in the national 2 1 1 engineering and 985 engineering innovation platform. The school takes earth science as its main feature, covering science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law, education, art and other disciplines, and is known as "the highest institution of earth science in China".

It has two national first-class key disciplines: geology, geological resources and geological engineering, with earth science as its main feature and science, engineering, literature, management, economics, law and teaching.

China Geo University was founded in 1952, and its predecessor was Beijing Geo University which was merged by Peking University, Tsinghua University, Tianjin University and Tangshan Railway Institute. The school was designated as a national key institution by the state in 1960, moved out of Beijing in 1970, and settled in Wuhan in 1975, and was renamed Wuhan Institute of Geology.
1978, graduate department of Wuhan Institute of Geology was founded, Beijing. 1987, the State Education Commission approved the renaming of Wuhan Institute of Geology as China University of Geology, which was divided into Wuhan and Beijing. In February 2000, the school was placed under the management of the Ministry of Land and Resources. On June 5th, 2006, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Land and Resources signed an agreement to establish China Geo University.

China Geo University (Wuhan) is located at the bank of the beautiful East Lake, at the foot of the lush Wang Nan Mountain, adjacent to the National High-tech Development Zone and "Wuhan China Optical Valley". The school covers an area of about 1700 mu.
