Yu Guangzhong (192810/October 21~ 20171February 14) is a famous contemporary writer, poet, scholar and translator. Because my mother was originally from Wujin, Jiangsu, she also called herself "Jiangnan".
1947 graduated from Nanjing YMCA Middle School, entered the Foreign Languages Department of Jinling University, 1949 transferred to the Foreign Languages Department of Xiamen University, and 1952 graduated from the Foreign Languages Department of Taiwan Province Provincial University. 1959 Master of Arts, University of Iowa. 1997, aged 69, was awarded the title of visiting professor of Jilin University and Northeast Normal University. He was awarded "Contribution Award of Poetry Art" by China Poetry Art Society.
