Qingdao University of Technology has a good civil engineering. Originally called Qingdao Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture, this is what it does.

Hebei University of Engineering was formed in April 2003 by the merger of the former Hebei Institute of Architecture and Technology, Handan Branch of North China Institute of Water Resources and Hydropower, Handan Medical College and Handan Agricultural College. Although architecture is the mainstay, it is not as strong as Qingdao Institute of Technology because of its youth.

Qingdao University of Technology has a doctoral program;

Hebei University of Engineering has no doctoral program.

Qingdao University of Technology is located in Qingdao with a good geographical position.

Hebei University of Engineering is located in Handan, and its geographical position is not good.
