School of Communication Engineering. There are more than 240 faculty members, including 56 professors, 23 doctoral supervisors and 9 master supervisors. There are more than 3,600 undergraduates, 2,000 master students and 300 doctoral students.

The existing institutions of the College are as follows: State Key Laboratory of Integrated Business Network Theory and Key Technologies, Key Laboratory of Computer Network and Information Security, Ministry of Education, and Key Laboratory of Wireless Communication and Information Industry. In addition, there are national experimental teaching demonstration centers for communication and information engineering and national experimental teaching demonstration centers for electrical and electronic engineering (joint).

The college has four undergraduate majors, namely, communication engineering, information security, information engineering and spatial information and digital technology, among which communication engineering is a national major and a key national defense major, information security is a national major and information engineering is a major in Shaanxi Province. The School of Communication and Information Engineering has seven undergraduate majors, including communication engineering, information engineering, information security, electronic information science and technology, radio and television engineering, information countermeasure technology and Internet of Things engineering. After more than 50 years of construction and development, the School of Communication and Information Engineering has built a provincial (ministerial) key discipline of "Information and Communication Engineering" relying on the National Engineering Laboratory of Wireless Network Security Technology, the Key Laboratory of Electronic Information Field Detection and Application Technology of the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministerial Key Laboratory of Modern Communication Technology, and has become one of the schools in Xi University of Posts and Telecommunications with outstanding discipline strength, obvious professional advantages, strong teachers and far-reaching historical origins. The Department of Information and Communication Engineering has 69 teachers, including professor 15, associate professor 16 (including doctoral supervisor 14), 3 senior engineers, 28 lecturers, 4 engineers, 2 assistant researchers, teaching assistants 1 0, and 44 teachers with doctoral degrees. Among the teachers, there are two cross-century talents from the Ministry of Education, who are "soaring talents".

The discipline of information and communication engineering, formerly known as radio technology major of Xi Jiaotong University, was founded in 1958. The discipline of information and communication engineering is the key construction discipline of "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project" during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period. During the period of 1982, this project was authorized by doctor's degree in electromagnetic field and microwave technology and master's degree in communication and electronic system. 1986 was awarded "Communication and Electronic System"
