Title 1 Presented by Dong Kun, Deputy Director of the Compilation Department of the Supreme People's Procuratorate Institute of Prosecutorial Theory and one of the top ten outstanding young jurists. With the connection between supervision and procuratorial organs' judicial power, and the connection between supervision and investigation and procuratorial examination and prosecution procedures as the starting point and main contents, Deputy Director Dong explained the significance, content and specific grasp points of the connection between supervision and procuratorial procedures and evidence after the revision of the Criminal Procedure Law, and pointed out some problems still existing after the revision of the Criminal Procedure Law. Researcher Dong's effortless explanation of related articles benefited the audience a lot.
The keynote speaker of the first topic is Associate Professor Qualcomm, the master tutor of Nankai University Law School. Mr. Wang made a speech on Professor Dong's keynote speech from the perspective of legal dogmatism, and put forward the problems and perfection of the two laws from the perspective of development. In the interactive session, under the auspices of Mr. Li Haibo and Mr. Zhu Tonghui, many questions from legal persons and the live answers from the keynote speakers were also brilliant.
Topic 2 was given by Xu Zongxin, the famous professor and director of Lin Jing Law Firm of East China University of Political Science and Law. Starting from the value and function of effective defense, Director Xu, combined with his years of defense experience and serious summary, proposed to improve the effect of criminal defense by standardization, refinement, maximization of interests, perfection of service process and visualization, and eloquently expounded and evaluated with rich practical cases. The content is meticulous and the dry goods are full.
Associate Professor Zhu Tonghui, the speaker of the second theme, suggested humorously that we could consider compressing the "five modernizations" into "four modernizations", or adding "teamwork" and "legalization" to form "six modernizations" or "seven modernizations".
