1999 In order to * * * enjoy the academic resources of both sides, integrate the strength of running a school and enhance the comprehensive competitiveness in the Asia-Pacific region, the University of Sydney and the University of New South Wales signed a cooperation agreement, merged their management research institutes, and established the Australian Graduate School of Management (AGSM) to jointly build a master of business administration program. After the establishment of the Graduate School, the original graduate courses of management in the two schools were gradually suspended, and freshmen began to take classes in the CBD campus purchased in the city center.
In 2005, the University of Sydney announced its withdrawal from AGSM.
In 2007, AGSM merged with the Department of Economics and Business of the University of New South Wales to form the australian school of business (ASB). At present, AGSM belongs to ASB and is wholly owned by UNSW, and its MBA program ranks first in Australia for many years.
From 2065438 to May 2004, Professor Jeffrey Garrett, Dean of Business School, stood out in the global recruitment of Wharton Dean in the United States and was directly appointed as Dean of Wharton Business School. Professor Chris stiles, then vice-president, succeeded the dean of SUNDA Business School.
August 20 14, in order to further strengthen the international brand of the University of New South Wales, australian school of business (ASB) was renamed UNSW Business School.
