1, Wuhan University of Technology originated from 1948 China People's Liberation Army Northeast Military Region Ministry of Industry College. 1978 was identified as a national key institution, 1985 was renamed Wuhan university of technology, and 1998 was transferred from the former state building materials bureau to the Ministry of education as the director.

2. Wuhan Jiaotong University originated from 1946 National Maritime Vocational School. After inheritance and development, it was renamed Wuhan Jiaotong University on 1993, which was under the former Ministry of Communications. Wuhan University of Automobile Technology 1958 originated from Wuhan University of Technology, and 1995 was renamed Wuhan University of Automobile Technology, which was affiliated to the former China Automobile Industry Group Corporation.
