There are three universities in Dazhou, namely Sichuan University of Arts and Sciences, Dazhou Vocational and Technical College and Dazhou Vocational College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Sichuan University of Arts and Science is the only directly administered undergraduate college in eastern Sichuan, Dazhou Vocational and Technical College is a comprehensive full-time public ordinary college, and Dazhou Vocational College of Chinese Medicine is a public full-time ordinary higher vocational college approved by the Sichuan Provincial People's Government and filed by the Ministry of Education.
Dazhou, which belongs to Sichuan Province of People's Republic of China (PRC), is located in the northeast of Sichuan Province, at the southern foot of Daba Mountain. Dazhou is high in the northeast and low in the southwest, with a suitable climate and four distinct seasons.
