Liaoning University of Engineering Science, whose main campus is located in Fuxin, Liaoning Province, is a provincial university approved by the Emergency Management Department of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the People's Government of Liaoning Province. It is one of the 88 national key universities, one of the first batch of demonstration universities to deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education in China, and one of the universities to implement the education and training plan for outstanding engineers of the Ministry of Education.

Development history

The school was founded in 1949, formerly known as Fuxin Engineering Senior Vocational School; 1952 was renamed Fuxin Mining (Technology) School; 1958 was renamed Fuxin coal mine institute; 1978 was renamed Fuxin mining institute; 198 1 approved the first batch of master's degree-granting units; 1993 was approved as a doctoral degree awarding unit; 1996 was renamed Liaoning University of Engineering Technology.

In May, 2023, the official website of the school showed that there were Zhonghua Road Campus, Yulong Campus and Huludao Longwan Campus in Fuxin Campus, covering an area of 4,240 mu. There are 4 post-doctoral research mobile stations, 8 doctoral degree authorization points in first-class disciplines, 20 master degree authorization points in first-class disciplines, 5 master degree authorization points in two disciplines, and master degree authorization points 10;

There are more than 0.5 million full-time teachers/kloc-0, and 39,000 registered students, including 28,000 full-time doctoral students, master students, undergraduates and international students. As of March 20021year, the school has 25 teaching units and 67 undergraduate majors.
