History of Jinggan Middle School and Zhong Jing Middle School
On March 7th, 1938, private Jinggan junior high school started classes in Xianmiao, Dongguan, the county seat, thus ending the history of no middle school in Jingyang County. Although this school is called "private", it actually has no money provided by the rich. From scratch, from small to large, it has gone through a rather tortuous process. During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty, there were four academies in Jingyang County, namely Yingzhou, Weijing, Shi Chong and Jinggan, which enjoyed a good reputation in Shaanxi and Gansu provinces and produced a large number of talents. However, at the beginning of the Republic of China, warlords became independent, and war was linked to disaster. Moreover, 1929 led to the bankruptcy of rural economy and the decline of education. Before the Anti-Japanese War, Jingyang County, with a population of over 100,000, had only two high schools and no middle schools. 1933, Jinghui Canal was connected with water, and Jingyang was in the upper reaches, benefiting from this. Agriculture and commerce have recovered rapidly and the economy has become increasingly prosperous. Changing the backward face of education has become a great wish of the people. After the outbreak of the Anti-Japanese War, a large area of land fell, the Japanese invaders crushed Tongguan, and Xi 'an was in danger of going out of the cliff. Some provincial schools closed down, others moved out, and young people studying in Xi 'an, Jingyang went home to drop out of school. Faced with this situation, colleagues in the education sector are even more worried. 1In the autumn of 937, Zhang Heyao, the director of county education, and Wu, the principal of primary school, took advantage of the opportunity of the inspector of the Ministry of Education to visit Jingjing in Ergui, and proposed to him the initiative of establishing a middle school in Jingyang. The railway nodded in agreement. Since then, Zhang and Wu have visited celebrities from all walks of life many times to solicit opinions on running schools, which has been widely supported. After consultation, Zhang, Wu, Pang, Zhang Boxiu, Zhao Zhongyu, Fan Chunru and wang pu were elected to form the school management committee leading school. The name of the school is "Jinggan". The school site was chosen in Dongguan Fairy Temple. With the consent of the county government, 500 yuan is set aside as the start-up capital from the tax of "Tobacco and Ointment Bureau". Pang is the principal, and Zhang, Yu, Duan Wudong and other public officials are part-time teachers, all of whom are voluntary and don't get paid. 1938 In the spring, 30 students of grade 29 entered school, and started school on March 7, and Jingyang No.1 Middle School was born in the anti-Japanese bonfire. Pang, a native of this county, participated in the * * * production party during the Great Revolution and ran a civilian night school. After he became President of Zhong Jing, he took "wartime education" as the purpose and added military training courses to meet the needs of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. He is a headmaster, a teacher and a handyman, and he is very enthusiastic about running a school. Unfortunately, the time is not long, the body is sick, and the school funding is unsustainable, so I have to resign and make way. After Pang resigned, Zhang, the director of education, also served as the principal. Soon, Zhang Boxiu was invited to be the principal. Everything is difficult at the beginning, and the freshman stubbornly spent the first semester in the case of financial constraints. 1938 during the summer vacation, the school board invited Gao Lanting as the principal. Gao Lanting, a native of Wang Qiao County, graduated from Peking University during the May 4th Movement. 1927 When the Kuomintang "cleared * * *", he served as the police chief of Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, and had a serious counter-revolutionary history. Later, he worked in the National Government Supervision Institute. Before the fall of Nanjing, the national government "downsized and moved the capital", and Gao Lanting was laid off and went home to live an idle life. . Gao Lanting is the headmaster, bent on building Zhong Jing into a "Nankai-style middle school". In the summer vacation of 1938, more than 40 O-level students in the autumn of senior three were enrolled, which could not be accommodated in the fairy temple. Gao Lanting managed to borrow two warehouses of "China Cotton Company" and solved the problem. He ran around, distributed letters and telegrams, and raised a batch of funds. At that time, Mr. Yu Youren not only donated a batch of books and instruments, but also remitted 1000 yuan. At this point, the financial difficulties have eased.

1939 enrolled more than 50 O-level students in the spring. At this time, there are more than 0/00 students in three classes in the whole school, and the warehouse of Xianmiao and China Cotton Company can't accommodate them. With the approval of the county government, the school moved to Sang Bei Garden in the north of the city. North Sangyuan has more than 60 acres of public land and 10 houses. Suitable for running schools. So it became the permanent campus of Zhong Jing. 1in the spring of 939, the students of Grade 29 moved to Sang Bei Garden for the first time in the spring, while studying and building a school. Due to limited funds, Gao Lanting obtained the consent of the authorities and mobilized migrant workers to demolish Sanxianmu, Niangpo Temple and Dongfang Temple in yongle village's social books and transport them back to brick and tile materials to build schools. The township mobilized school builders. Small jobs such as moving bricks and tiles and carrying water and mud are all undertaken by students. Construction started in the spring of 1939. In less than one year, four classrooms, 1 conference hall, 27 dormitories, a livestock pond and 1 large playground were built, and a pedestrian walkway leading to the county seat was also built. Subsequently, students were organized to plant flowers and trees on campus, and Jinggan Middle School began to take shape.

1940 In autumn and spring, students of Grade 29 will graduate soon. At this time, the case has not been filed in the Provincial Department of Education. It is a question whether graduates can get their diplomas on time. The reason why the education department refused to file a case was that Zhong Jing did not have enough funds for running a school. Therefore, Gao Lanting called Li Xiutang, manager of Xiguan Cotton Store, and asked Li Xiutang to issue a certificate saying that there were 5,000 Jin of cotton in Zhong Jing Store (that is, enough for running a school). After Li Xiutang's certificate was reported, the education department believed it and went through the filing procedures for Zhong Jing. Problems such as graduation certificate will also be solved.

194 1 year, the national government reduced the county education bureau, and related businesses were merged into the county government education department. Before the reduction, the director of education was Yang Hechu. With the consent of relevant departments, Yang Hechu handed over more than 500 mu of school land and 10 properties of the Education Bureau to Zhong Jing for management by the school board. Yang Hechu has a managing director in charge of finance. With the school income in Zhong Jing and the tuition fees paid by students (2 buckets of wheat per semester), the annual income is above 60,000 Jin of wheat, and the economic situation has basically improved. While establishing the school, Gao Lanting tried every means to select excellent teachers. The full-time teachers hired successively include Xu, Zhao Renfu, Liu Langru, Tian (produced by * * * party member), Li Yiqing (produced by * * * party member) and Yuan Hesen (who participated in the * * * production party and was joined by * * * Society); Part-time teachers include Chen Demao, Wei Zijia and Chen. Liu Lang is the director of education and Zhang is the director of affairs. After Liu Langru left school because of something, Liu Zhenzhi, the former director of the provincial library, was invited as the director of education. At that time, Xi 'an Middle School and Tongzhou Normal School moved to Jingyang to avoid the Japanese bombing. Gao Lanting also hired famous teachers from these two schools, such as Hou Liangbi, Yang, Wang Xiufu, to teach. 1in the spring of 939, Zhang resigned as the director of education and came to school as a Chinese teacher. With such a team of teachers with complete courses and excellent academic performance, coupled with strict teaching management, the teaching quality has improved rapidly.

1942 During the summer vacation, among the graduates of Grade Three and Grade One in Beijing, Nanjing and Mid-Autumn Festival, 23 people applied for Xingguo Senior High School in the southern suburbs of Xi 'an. Except for/kloc-0, who withdrew from the examination room due to illness, the other 22 people were admitted to the list. Li Shouzhi, president of Xingguo Middle School, deeply admired this contrast. He said: "In the future, middle school students in Beijing will be admitted to the country without taking exams." The teaching quality of Jinggan Middle School is excellent, and it was awarded by the then Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Education sent a prize flag with the words "Make persistent efforts and create new achievements". In the early days of GaoLanting's school, the party group was not allowed to enter the school. However, under the leadership of the Party's underground organizations, progressive teachers and students not only set up organizations such as "People's First Team" and "Youth Entering the West" in Zhongjing, but also set up underground branches of the Party to secretly carry out revolutionary activities. Of course, Gao Lanting has no way to know these situations. But it is inevitable to be noticed by the eyes and ears of the Kuomintang. 1942 In May, Yang, head of Shaanxi Sanqing Youth League, smelled the wind. Zhai Wenfeng, a young cadre, is developing the Youth League, trying to resist the spread of progressive ideas. At this time, Gao Lanting changed his original attitude and let Yang do whatever he wants. Even so, under the resistance of progressive teachers and students, the division of the Kuomintang has never been established in schools, and the initiative of ideological positions is still in the hands of progressive teachers and students.

By 1943, Gao Lanting had been in charge of Jingping for six years. With the strong support of the people in the county and the joint efforts of all teachers and students, Jinggan Middle School has made great achievements in the past six years. As a principal, Gao Lanting should be modest and prudent, make persistent efforts and make greater progress in Zhong Jing. Unexpectedly, he was complacent in front of his grades, pretending to be an educator, saying that "Nankai has a Zhang Boling and Zhongjing has a Gaolan Pavilion". His impatience, coupled with his pride, is bound to hurt the initial accumulated strength in running a school. Xu, Tian, Li Yiqing, Yuan Hesen and other school-running backbones left school one after another. In the school, people are not harmonious, contradictions follow, teaching order is chaotic, teaching quality is declining, and the response from all walks of life is strong. Gao Lanting took it hard and resigned. After Gao Lan resigned in August 1944, Liu Zhenzhi was appointed as the principal, Liu Shangda () as the education director and Zhang as the discipline director. At the same time, the prestigious Sun Chongfu and Wang Wenxiang were hired to teach in our school, which strengthened the teaching staff. Liu Zhenzhi is knowledgeable and proficient in Chinese and foreign history. He is both a principal and a teacher, leading by example and managing the school rigorously. He advocated saving the country through education and science, and put forward the "four principles" of running a school, namely, "extensive collection, bitter education, careful examination and strict elimination". With the help of Liu Shangda and Zhang, Liu Zhenzhi established a strict examination system and was demoted if he failed three courses. Cheating in the exam, once found, will be downgraded, and the serious one will be expelled, regardless of rank.

1945 try out the honorary examination system in the sixth grade of the third grade next semester. At the same time, Liu Zhenzhi is very concerned about the construction of school spirit. He often quotes an old saying: "How ridiculous is the change of atmosphere? Say: one or two people start. " He found good people and deeds and immediately praised and encouraged them; When you see something bad, try to stop it at once. In less than a year, the school was in good order, the students worked hard and the teaching quality rebounded rapidly. Since then, Zhongjing has entered the ZTE period. 1945, large urban and rural households in Jingyang donated another batch of funds to Zhongjing. At the same time, the temple materials in the southwest of the county were demolished and the school was expanded. 1946 four classrooms and a row of dormitories were built in the first half of the year. In the second half of the same year, a high school was added to recruit 38-level students. Since then, it has been renamed as "Private Jinggan Middle School". After the addition of high school, Liu Zhenzhi hired celebrities such as Dang Xiufu, Li and Tian Menglie to teach at the school, further strengthening the teaching staff. Students' ideological realm and academic level will be further improved. Zhao, 38, and Liang Cunbao, 39, both published short articles in Shanghai English Weekly. Deng, a 38-grade senior three student, published an article entitled "Mai Busy Looking forward to the Rural Situation" in the "Qinfeng Industry and Commerce United Daily", which effectively exposed the evil of the Kuomintang's exorbitant taxes and levies and had a great influence. In order to enrich campus life, Liu Zhenzhi, Liu Shangda and Zhang encouraged students to actively carry out extracurricular activities. Each class has set up a "small library" to collect books and periodicals in the hands of students, which are kept by special personnel and circulated in turn. Lu Xun's Wandering, Ye Shengtao's Scarecrow, Xia Gaizun's Wen Xin and other progressive books took the opportunity to enter the school and were widely circulated. When reading the newspaper of Qin Feng Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zhang marked it with a red pen, and then posted it in the newspaper reading column to guide teachers and students to read. He will also report on the atomic bomb, the United Nations and the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and cut out an integrated book for teachers and students to borrow. Zhang was persecuted by the Kuomintang for this, but he still enjoyed it. Liu Shangda and other progressive teachers and students set up a "Youth Troupe" and rehearsed plays such as "Being a Teacher for All Generations", "Flushing Toilet" and "Fake Secretary". The large-scale drama "Forever Being a Teacher" was widely praised after it was staged in Jingyang and Sanyuan. Unfortunately, in February of 1946, Zhang left his job due to tuberculosis. 1947 Zhang died at the age of 42. He dedicated the last ten years of his life to Jingyang No.1 Middle School, which was touching! After Zhang left, Sun Chongfu took over as the director of discipline. In the second half of the year, Sun Chongfu succeeded Liu Shangda as the academic director. Sun Chongfu is a major member of Shaanxi Democratic League. According to the instruction of Li Furen (party member), the head of NLD, he actively carried out youth work in Zhong Jing. While doing a good job in education management and discipline, he constantly introduced the activities of domestic progressives and the establishment of socialist countries in Eastern Europe to young people, and established an underground organization of "Youth for the People" headed by Deng. Minqing strengthened the leadership of the original Times Society: Shatuo Society, Yema Society and Rainbow Society, published wall newspapers and performed programs, and vigorously publicized progressive ideas. At the same time, revolutionary books such as Engel's "The Development of Socialism from Utopia to Science" and Ai Siqi's "Popular Philosophy" were widely circulated in the school in the form of reading reports. The activity of "Youth for the People" quickly helped teachers and students improve their revolutionary consciousness. "Section III /k" discusses the issue of women's liberation; After the Kuomintang assassinated Li Gongfu, Wen Yiduo and Du Bincheng, it held a meeting to denounce them. Activities such as "anti-civil war, anti-hunger and anti-dictatorship" were also carried out. At the same time, members of the "people's youth" collected information about reactionaries and reported to underground organizations that Deng also tried to cover Comrade Chi from Yan 'an for secret activities. At that time, the youth league was preparing to hold an anti-Soviet demonstration, but it failed under the resistance of the progressive teachers and students of the whole school. Not long after, Sun Chongfu's progressive activities were discovered by the reactionary authorities and he was in danger of being arrested. He had to leave Zhong Jing secretly in the summer vacation of 1948. After Sun Chongfu left school, Serina Liu made Li Menglie the academic director. Li Menglie not only attaches importance to the quality of teaching, but also attaches importance to guiding students' ideological progress. 1August, 948, Comrade Lu Yumin, who moved back to Jingyang from Yan 'an, came to the school and entrusted Li Menglie to contact a group of young people of the "Northward" revolution. With the help of Zhang Congti and Han, Li Menglie went through a tortuous struggle from 1949+ 19 to the end of March. Zhang Congti, Han and Li Menglie also entered the border area and joined the party's armed forces. Liu Zhenzhi did not take part in party activities. However, he knows that young people represent the future and love them very much. In the process of making progress for teachers and students "going north", he revealed the movements of reactionary authorities from time to time to remind teachers and students to pay attention to safety. Avoid misfortune. President Liu Zhenzhi also contributed to the success of this "going north".

1May, 949, Guanzhong was liberated. On August 24th, Sanyuan Society informed that the private Jinggan Middle School was taken over by the people's government and renamed as Jingyang County Jinggan Middle School. At the same time, Tai Tong, Guo and other comrades were appointed to form a school affairs committee to take charge of the reception. At the end of August, the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Border Region Government appointed Negative Child as the vice chairman (the principal was temporarily absent). Subsequently, according to the instructions of the border government on the reform of secondary schools, the old teaching institutions and textbooks were reformed. Since then, Jinggan Middle School has embarked on the broad road under the sunshine of the Party.

After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Jinggan Middle School has made great progress: modern teaching buildings have mushroomed, advanced teaching equipment has been gradually improved, the teaching staff has become increasingly powerful, and the quality of education has been unprecedentedly improved.

Now Jinggan Middle School has become a complete high school, with more than 300 teachers and nearly 70 classes. Up to now, private Jinggan middle school has trained a large number of talents for the country. Excellent completion of the glorious task entrusted by history. The great ship of history is galloping towards 2 1 century.
