The Business School of Yunnan Normal University is an independent college approved by the Ministry of Education and organized by Yunnan Normal University with social investment according to the new mechanism and mode, which belongs to the undergraduate level of general higher education.

The college's informatization construction has achieved remarkable results, realizing the "campus card", building a 2.5G broadband campus network, and building a comprehensive information management platform with high level and strong operability and a leading multi-functional information teaching platform.

20 15 July official website shows that there are nearly 1000 teaching staff and more than 65,438 full-time and part-time teachers, among whom 57.6% are doctors and masters, and 3 1% are teachers with associate senior titles or above. There are 6 famous teachers and 4 teaching teams in Yunnan Province.

On June 20 12, it became the first independent college in Yunnan Province to pass the evaluation of bachelor's degree authorization and have the qualification to independently issue bachelor's degrees. In 20 14, the school was identified as a pilot university for the transformation and development of local undergraduate universities in Yunnan Province by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education, and became the first and only independent college in Yunnan Province to be transformed into an applied technology-oriented university, and was awarded the construction project of "supporting key professional groups for industrial upgrading" in Yunnan Province.

As of July 20 15, the school has two campuses. College headquarters (Haiyuan Campus) is located in Kunming High-tech Development Zone, with more than 8000 students/kloc-0. The two campuses cover an area of 1000 mu with a building area of 463,000 square meters. There are nearly 1000 faculty members and more than 1000 full-time and part-time teachers. At present, there are 36 undergraduate majors and 66 professional directions, and the school library has more than 0.9 million books/kloc-0. It was named "Garden Unit" by Kunming Municipal People's Government.
