Xi Jiaotong University, located in Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, was founded by Xi Jiaotong University and the University of Liverpool in the United Kingdom with the approval of the Ministry of Education of China. It is a Chinese-foreign cooperative university with a bachelor's degree from China and the right to confer a degree from the University of Liverpool in the UK. It is a member of the national "863 Program" scientific research project. 20 17 School became the provincial master's program construction unit in Jiangsu Province.
In September 2004, Xi Jiaotong University signed an agreement with the University of Liverpool in the UK to establish Xi Jiaotong-Liverpool (International) University. The school was formally established in 2006. On 20 10, the postgraduate degree was awarded to the University of Liverpool in the UK, and on 20 12, the Ministry of Education agreed to implement the master's degree and doctoral degree education in the University of Liverpool in the UK. On April 20 14, Xi Jiao Tong University began to recruit students independently.
The school has 17 colleges, 48 undergraduate majors, 44 master majors (including part-time), 16 doctoral research directions, and faculty 1777 people, including academicians 1 person, 59 professors and 2 18 associate professors. There are 865 full-time teachers, 22 external teachers 122, 876 administrative and academic assistants, and more than 2 1000 registered students at home and abroad.
