According to the latest ESI data released by Ke Ruiwei 'an (formerly Thomson Reuters) on September 10, 2020, the newly-added engineering science in Hubei University ranks 1% in the global discipline of ESI, becoming the third discipline to enter 1% after chemistry and materials science, and the total number of cited ESI in the whole school reaches1370.

In addition, the latest data show that the subject of materials science in our school is 4. 1 1‰, and the subject of chemistry is 5.427‰. The three disciplines of materials science, chemistry and engineering science continue to be carried forward, which has supported the overall ESI of the school to rank first in colleges and universities in Hubei Province, successfully completed the number and bearing targets of ESI disciplines set in the "Thirteenth Five-Year Plan" of the school, and further consolidated the foundation of the school's "double first-class" construction.

Cooperation and communication

By May 2020, the school has established academic exchanges, personnel training and scientific research cooperation with 150 universities and scientific research institutions in more than 40 countries and regions.
