There are 10 universities in Guangzhou University Town, namely: Sun Yat-sen University, Guangdong Pharmaceutical University, South China University of Technology, South China Normal University, Guangdong University of Technology, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Xinghai Conservatory of Music, Guangzhou University of Chinese Medicine, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Guangzhou University.

Guangzhou University Town is located in Xiaoguwei Island, Xinjian Town, Panyu District, Guangzhou and its southern bank area.
