Chongqing university of international business and economics (formerly Foreign Business School of Chongqing Normal University) is a full-time undergraduate college approved by the Ministry of Education in 20001year. It began to enroll students in 2002, was recognized as an independent college by the Ministry of Education in 2003, and was awarded a bachelor's degree in 20 12.

In 2020, it was evaluated by the expert group of the Ministry of Education and transformed into an independent private undergraduate college. It was once rated as "National Advanced Independent College" and "China Independent College of Brand Influence", and it was the first batch of pilot universities for comprehensive reform of "three rounds of education" in Chongqing.
