1958 the biophysics department of China university of science and technology, the predecessor of the school of life sciences, was founded by Mr. Bei, a famous scientist. 1964, the biophysics department was merged into the newly established physics department and became a biophysics major; 1February, 1998, the College of Life Sciences was formally established.
2. School of Life Sciences, Sichuan University
College of Life Sciences is one of the earliest departments of Sichuan University, with a long history of 90 years. In discipline, it covers life science as the basic field of modern natural science and biotechnology as the frontier field of modern high technology, and their applications in agriculture, industry, medicine and health, ecological environment protection and so on. 4. School of Life Sciences, Wuhan University
School of Life Sciences of Wuhan University is located in Wuhan, Hubei Province, with a long history, which can be traced back to 1893 when Wuhan University was founded, 1922 when Biology Department was founded, 1978 when Virology Department was founded, and 1992 when Biology Department, Virology Department and Bioengineering Center merged to form School of Life Sciences.
5. School of Life Sciences, Nanjing Agricultural University
College of Life Sciences of Nanjing Agricultural University was formerly known as College of Biological Sciences and Technology. In order to adapt to the rapid development of life sciences in the 2 1 century, in 2002, the school reorganized four dominant disciplines, namely biochemistry and molecular biology, microbiology, botany and zoology, and was established and renamed as the College of Life Sciences.
